Dr Zoe Davies
Chief Executive Officer  

Dr Zoe Davies has been with the National Pig Association (NPA) since 2008, taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer in 2014.  This followed five years working in the Livestock Science Unit within Defra where she managed the research and development portfolio on livestock production. Prior to that she ran a large pig rearing unit and trials facility for integrated pig production company BQP in Suffolk after having gained a PhD in outdoor sow management and welfare with Cambac JMR Research in 1998.  Aside from managing a small but incredibly effective team of four at NPA and running the organisation, Zoe is largely responsible for on farm welfare and notifiable disease policy. She is also a huge advocate of British pig producers and of the pork that they produce and dedicates much of her time to safeguarding their future through increasingly turbulent times.
