Tim Miller
Tim travels the length and breadth of the UK, visiting many pig units and advising on their environments. Having studied Agriculture in Lancashire and Northamptonshire, he was the MLC Pig Specialist for four years, based at the NAC pig unit at Stoneleigh and covering the Midlands. Tim then spent a year in New Zealand running the farrowing operations on a P.I.C. breeding company nucleus.
On returning to the UK, Tim managed a 750 sow outdoor unit near Salisbury, before taking up his post with the UK pig ventilation experts Farmex to concentrate on ventilation and control in livestock environments.
Tim has worked for A Proctor Group/ARM Buildings since 1995, advising on pig building design, and on the ventilation of all types of livestock environments. His knowledge and understanding of the pig industry, and his advice on trouble–shooting ventilation issues in pig buildings is in constant demand all around the UK.
